Breasfeeding is a learnt skill, and does not necessarily come naturally. The baby needs to learn to suckle and the Mum has to adapt to the "type" of baby she has.

It may seem difficult at first but it does become easier as time passes with a lot of patience, persistence and practise.There is plenty of conflicting advice given to new mum's which can be very confusing. The best thing to do is listen to one person.

A lot of mums worry about how much milk their baby is getting. If your baby gives you 5 disposable or 6 towel wet nappies a day (24 hours) and is passing stools, then your baby is getting enough. If there is little input there is little output.
